From the President
Hello!
I am Aleah McGill, and I am serving the roles of president and vice president of the Virginia Women’s Chorus this semester! I am a third year government and youth and social innovation (education) double major. I was previously the publicity chair and vice president of chorus. I had the privilege of organizing Roll and New Girl Night for our new members this semester, which is one of the busiest and most rewarding tasks of the vice president!
This semester, we are happy to announce we have thirteen new members! Almost everyone was able to join us for Roll the night they were accepted and for New Girl Night at the end of their first week. We celebrated our new girls and surprised them with Cookout on Sunday after callbacks and enjoyed watching Tangled at the chorus house Thursday night! New Girl Night was held at the Rotunda this semester, as a kick off to VWC’s celebration of soon-to-be 50 years! We revealed bigs/littles, smashed a unicorn pinata, handed out binders, and took lots of pictures!
We look forward to seeing some of you this semester at our family weekend and candlelight concerts and singing with our new girls for their first concerts with VWC!
Vdubz love,
Aleah
