Alumnae Corner Announcements and Spotlight
Alumnae and friends:
The Alumnae and Friends Association (formerly the AIG) will be hosting receptions during Reunions Weekend. If you graduated in ’74, ’79, or ’84, please come on Saturday, June 1, to Pavilion I Garden from 3:30-5pm (Rain site: Commonwealth Room, Newcomb). We’ll be sharing the garden with the Glee Club, so it should be extra fun! If you’re an alum from ’89, ’99, ’04, ’09, or ’14, please come to a reception on Saturday, June 8, in Pavilion IX, Lower Garden, from 2:30-4pm. There will be a sing-along in Old Cabell Hall beginning at 4. You will be receiving a more formal invitation soon, and we hope you can make it if you’re in town!

Graduation Year: 1977
Major: Music, and later an MBA with a computer science focus. I did software development auditing which sounds awful but is really fun.
Where has life taken you since UVa? I sing in a local chorus and three recent grads just joined and boy are they good: CJ, Pooja and Alex.
What is your favorite VWC memory? My favorite memory was the $1 club on our trip to Florida. We were so broke that that was our daily spending limit resulting in some hilarious “meals.” Also hilarious, was when we made our concert gowns because yes, we had sewing machines at college but not computers! My dress was a hot mess.
Why are you serving on the AFA? Of course I’m on the board, how do you not stay connected?
